The Largest Owned IP Pool in the ISP Proxy Market
IP pool diversity is the foundation of proxy effectiveness. A large pool means nothing if every IP comes from the same subnet or ASN. Hex Proxies maintains one of the most diverse IP pools in the industry, with over 10 million residential IPs and more than 250,000 static ISP IPs distributed across 1,500+ autonomous systems and 45,000+ unique subnet ranges.
Why Diversity Beats Raw Size
Some providers advertise tens of millions of IPs but source them from a handful of ASNs or a single carrier. This makes pattern detection trivial for sophisticated anti-bot systems. When a target site sees hundreds of requests from the same /16 block, it flags and blocks the entire range regardless of how many individual IPs exist within it.
Hex Proxies takes a different approach. We prioritize subnet and ASN diversity over raw IP count. Each request can exit through a different ASN, different subnet, and different carrier, making it statistically indistinguishable from organic residential traffic.
Residential Pool Composition
Our residential pool of 10 million+ IPs spans every major market. These IPs are sourced ethically through opt-in partnerships with application developers and network operators. Each residential IP is a real consumer connection, not a datacenter IP with a residential label. We verify this continuously by checking WHOIS data, BGP announcements, and carrier assignments.
ISP Pool: The Hex Advantage
Our 250,000+ static ISP IPs are where Hex Proxies truly differentiates. These are not rented from an upstream aggregator. They are assigned directly to Hex through carrier partnerships with Windstream, RCN, Frontier, and other major ISPs. Because we hold the carrier agreements ourselves, we control IP rotation schedules, subnet allocation, and reputation management at the source.
Static ISP IPs combine the trust score of a residential connection with the speed and stability of datacenter infrastructure. They do not rotate unless you want them to, making them ideal for account management, long-running sessions, and use cases where IP consistency matters.
Subnet and ASN Strategy
We maintain IPs across 45,000+ unique /24 subnets. Our allocation algorithm ensures that sequential requests from the same user never exit through the same subnet unless sticky sessions are enabled. This per-request diversity is critical for high-volume operations where thousands of requests hit the same target within minutes.
At the ASN level, our 1,500+ autonomous systems span every major carrier in our coverage regions. We continuously add new ASN partnerships to stay ahead of blocklist patterns that target specific network operators.
Pool Health and Scoring
Every IP in our pool is scored continuously on multiple dimensions: success rate, response time, blocklist presence, and target-specific performance. IPs that fall below our quality threshold are automatically removed from the active pool and quarantined for rehabilitation or permanent retirement. This scoring runs in real time, so you never hit a burned IP that another user degraded moments earlier.
Geographic Distribution
Our pool covers 100+ countries with deep coverage in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Brazil. For high-demand markets like the US, we maintain IPs in every state and most major metropolitan areas, enabling city-level geo-targeting with genuine local IPs rather than geo-spoofed datacenter addresses.
Continuous Growth
We add new IPs to the pool weekly. Our carrier partnerships pipeline ensures a steady supply of fresh, unburned ISP IPs, while our residential network grows organically through new opt-in partnerships. Pool size and diversity metrics are reviewed monthly by our network engineering team.
