Proxy Pricing FAQ

Clear answers about proxy pricing, billing cycles, payment methods, and how to choose the right plan.

Billing

Understanding proxy pricing can be confusing with different providers using different billing models. At Hex Proxies, we aim for transparent pricing that scales with your usage. Residential proxies are billed by bandwidth (per GB), while ISP proxies are billed by the number of dedicated IPs. This FAQ covers the most common pricing questions we receive, including how bandwidth is measured, what happens when you exceed your plan limits, available payment methods, and how to choose the right plan for your use case.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is residential proxy pricing calculated?

Residential proxy pricing at Hex Proxies is based on bandwidth consumption measured in gigabytes (GB). You pay for data transferred through our proxy network, including both request and response data. Bandwidth-based pricing means you can use as many different IPs and make as many requests as you want — cost is determined solely by total data volume. Your dashboard shows real-time bandwidth usage so you can track consumption throughout your billing cycle.

How is ISP proxy pricing calculated?

ISP proxy pricing is based on the number of dedicated IP addresses in your plan. Each IP is exclusively assigned to your account. Unlike residential proxies, ISP proxies are not bandwidth-metered — you can send unlimited traffic through your assigned IPs. Per-IP costs decrease with larger quantities and annual billing commitments.

What payment methods do you accept?

Hex Proxies accepts major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) processed through Stripe, plus cryptocurrency payments. All payments are processed in USD. For enterprise customers, we offer invoiced billing with NET-30 terms. Payment information is never stored on our servers.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes, Hex Proxies offers a trial period for new customers to test our proxy network before committing. The trial gives you access to both residential and ISP proxies with limited bandwidth so you can verify compatibility and test success rates. Trial accounts have full access to geo-targeting, protocol selection, and our dashboard.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Our wallet system also allows on-demand bandwidth credits without changing your base plan.

What happens if I exceed my bandwidth limit?

You receive notifications at 80% and 90% usage thresholds. When you reach your limit, you can upgrade your plan, purchase additional bandwidth through the wallet, or wait for your next billing cycle. We do not automatically charge overage fees or cut off access without warning.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes, higher-tier plans have lower per-GB rates for residential proxies and lower per-IP rates for ISP proxies. Annual billing provides additional savings. For enterprise customers, we offer custom pricing based on expected usage and commitment duration.

How does the wallet system work?

The wallet is a prepaid credit system. You add funds and credits are consumed as you use proxy bandwidth. Ideal for variable workloads — you are never locked into a fixed commitment. Credits do not expire while your account is active. You can top up at any time from your dashboard.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Geo-targeting, protocol selection, concurrent connections, API access, and dashboard analytics are all included at no extra cost. You pay only for your plan tier or bandwidth consumption. No setup fees, no per-request charges, no fees for rotation or session management.
